CIRQUE D’ESS is a Ritualwave duo formed on 2017 in Italy.

CIRQUE D’ESS takes inspiration by a wide range of music styles including Darkwave, Synthwave, Coldwave, Shoegaze, EBM and Techno.

Under a black hood, driven by liturgical atmospheres and sustained by punchy dance floor sounds... they called it “Ritualwave”.

CIRQUE D’ESS debuts in December 2017 with a 5-tracks self-produced EP.

The duo soon starts gigging in many italians live music clubs for the following 2 years.

In 2020 sees the light the first and suggestive video clip based on the song “Hole-Frog”, included in a double version into the following 11-tracks album “Black Synthetic and Dense”, released in 2021 via Cold Transmission Music (DE) label, and preceded by the single/video “A Spooky Host”, probably one of the most played track of the darkwave world scene in 2021/2022.

Since the beginning CIRQUE D’ESS shares the stage with bands like Ash Code (IT), The KVB (UK), Horror Vacui (IT), The Spiritual Front (IT), Rabia Sorda (MX/DE), Hante (FR), Lili Refrain (IT), Qual (UK), Kill Your Boyfriend (IT), Under The Skin (PL), Velvet Vega (IT) and others.

Joe D'Elirio

1977\2023 forty-six years of music on his shoulders They are a great achievement for a character who has always defined himself as a non-musician. An autodidact who made the stage his psychoanalysis cabinet. This in a nutshell is Joe D'Elirio. From punk rock (1977) with Hot Pins and RankXerox to electronic Post Punk with EXXESS (1981), from cold wave with Marilin Pills (1983) to situationist/noise post-industrial provocations with Discipline. With the plumbeous Clouds Factory (1986) and the electro-rock of Splithead (1989) up to the Techno with Delirio Magnetico and who knows how many other groups or solo projects that my memory lacks right now to then reshuffle everything and start all over again as in a game of goose that has the finish line removed. These days grappling with a re-reading of perhaps the most fruitful and creative period, that of the early 80s with EXXESS and the Marilin Pills. Always with the same restless attitude in the continuous search for its changing permanent center of gravity. Let's Dance! A few years ago some tracks were officially released for the first time in the 391 Marche compilation on Spittle Records and a vinyl album Joe D'Elirio and The EXXESS on the RaveUp label. A quadruple vinyl album by Marilin Pills has been released in Germany on the Minimalkombinat Rec label. Just a small drop from the sea of music created and recorded over the years and kept on dozens of audio cassettes and various media.

1977 bis 2023 - sechsundvierzig Jahre Musik sind eine große Leistung für eine Person, die sich immer als Nicht-Musiker definiert hat. Ein Autodidakt, der die Bühne zu seinem Psychoanalyse-Kabinett gemacht hat. Das ist, kurz gesagt, Joe D'Elirio.
Vom Punkrock (1977) mit Hot Pins und RankXerox zum elektronischen Post Punk mit EXXESS (1981), vom Cold Wave mit Marilin Pills (1983) zu situationistischen/noisigen post-industriellen Provokationen mit Discipline.
Mit den plumpen Clouds Factory (1986) und dem Elektro-Rock von Splithead (1989) bis hin zum Techno mit Delirio Magnetico und wer weiß wie vielen anderen Gruppen oder Soloprojekten, die mir gerade nicht einfallen, um dann alles neu zu mischen und wieder von vorne anzufangen wie bei einem Gänsespiel, bei dem die Ziellinie entfernt wurde.
In diesen Tagen beschäftige ich mich mit einer Neuauflage der vielleicht fruchtbarsten und kreativsten Periode, die der frühen 80er Jahre mit EXXESS und den Marilin Pills. Immer mit der gleichen rastlosen Haltung auf der ständigen Suche nach dem sich verändernden permanenten Schwerpunkt. Lasst uns tanzen!

Electro wave duo based in Bergamo, formed by Jean, multi-instrumentalist musician, producer and manager of a well-known club in Bergamo and Ale, former guitarist of the I.R.L. project, composer and multi-instrumentalist musician.

The intent is to carry on darkwave music keeping its gloomy and dark atmosphere but with more contemporary sounds.

Fluctuating between gothic rock and postpunk, darkwave and deathrock psychedelia, with Rosetta's witchy vocals and Dario's mighty, distorted guitars, The Spiritual Bat boasts participation in several prestigious events and festivals in Europe and the USA.

Based in Italy, the band has performed at "Wave Gothic Treffen", "Whitby Goth Weekend", "Return To The Batcave", "Gotham Sounds", "Castle Party",

"Carpe Noctum", and have toured the USA from coast to coast several times, performing at events such as "The Red Party" in New York, "Release The Bats" in Los Angeles, "San La Muerte" in San Antonio TX, "Vendetta Festival" in Denver, "Sogo Festival" in New Orleans, besides innumerable other shows.

The Spiritual Bat is an evolution of the "Spiritual BatS" (plural), a previous incarnation of which guitarist andformer painter Dario was co-founder in 1992, shortly before going blind. The project has always featured artwork by the pictorial group I Pittori Alchimisti (Biennial of Venice, 1986 Art and Alchemy section), both on album covers and in video projections during live performances. In 1994 the Spiritual Bats opened for Rozz Williams (Christian Death) and his Daucus Karota. 

They Die is a musical trio that gravitates around the gothic world, proposing the sounds of the dawn of the genre of the early eighties revisited in a contemporary key. 

The project is inspired by the atmosphere of the alternative discos of those years, reworked in the decadence of our days, oboe swivels repeating, like a mantra, the duality of love-death, seen and interpreted as the apex of an existence lived in abandonment. 

The first album “deviant love” was released in January 2021 by Jetglow Recordings with a good success thanks to the two leading singles “that flames goes out” and “sick boy” very appreciated by critics. 

After a year and a half the second album “emptiness prevails” was released, this time for the renowned Swiss Dark Nights, 10 tracks including two singles released as video clips: “single frame” and “ Black moon”.
